  4. I didn't like this one. Too busy with all of the photos. I found my eyes trying to figure out what was where on the page. The site couldn't even fit complete titles of the categories across the screen. Still liked putting the links to categories near the top of the screen so that they are more easily identified. Agree that limiting color scheme makes it more visualy appealing especially with a soft pastel color.

  5. from a reference staff member: too many photos and they are too large. seems disorganized. do like using photos of people instead of building at top. would be a step or more back from our current website.

  6. like the consistancy in format
photo banner takes too much space
site has a cluttered feel without actually being cluttered

  7. from another reference staff member: library's address and phone number are at the very bottom of the homepage. these would be better at the very top of the homepage. liked: contact us and a form for submitting a message, list of databases for subjects and the reasons for using them.

  8. Like the interesting logo which does not detract from main page
Liked names of branches on the top of the page
Like the Search engine which is easy to locate Liked that the hours and location easy to find for both the main library and branches
Liked that new arrivals prominently marketed; the changing book jackets are eye-catching
Some links very slow to load
lot of white space in the background is good

  11. From a reference staff member:
I don’t like the photos on top of the website. I find them too big and distracting. Other than that found the soft pastel background attractive. Good information on databases & why you would use them.

  12. Staff comments:
Pros: Main links are easy to see and access, library hours are very clear, easy to email the library director to ask questions, Colors, Search Bar, New Arrivals Highlighted & keeps changing, Nice pics, looks homey, personal feel

Cons: Information, such as library jobs, appears in the about the library link as opposed to its own link (very confusing), not much immediate information about budget or helping the library, no information regarding book donations, Did not like the “my acct” button being middle of page, harder to find
