  1. I really like the way their top menu links are organized and the names of the categoreies of links

Liked that the tabs with drop-down boxes were easy to navigate
Thought that the “myNPL” feature very interesting
Liked that the "get the newsletter" feature was very easy to use

  3. Like the drop down from the tabs. I like the using the library tab's "I AM A..." list.
Minimal front page with good links.
Some of the front page info is carried throughout on the bottom of most pages.

  4. There is so much info it really helps that they use color sparingly and put some white space between listings on bottom of page. Like the obvious tabs at the top.

I found this website to be surprisingly amateurish for a large, respected library system. The look is cartoonish. Definitely would have done more with the lions instead of having that cheesy logo.

The first page that pops up before the homepage is very effective in getting its message conveyed about budget cuts. I liked the search box for searching the catalog or website; the posting of rules and regulations; specific guides for specific types of patrons such as teacher, job seeker, and recent immigrant.

Category Tab Labels Good/ My NYPL Nicely organized/Search Box Options Very Clear/General Graphics and use of white space are unfortunate
